With July 4th happening on Tuesday, this might, In fact, become a Whole Week of red, white and blue festivities!

Independence Day is a fine time for celebration.  We know you will cherish the memories you make with family, friends and fun over this patriotic Holiday.  It’s a thrilling, grilling, fun time for picnics, barbecues, cook-outs, parades and parties.  It’s a time to feel delight in the liberty and freedom that is part of the legacy of this country.

Independence Day:  What Does July 4th Really Mean?

In the midst of all the festivities, we hope you and your children take a moment to examine what it really means in your head and in your heart, to be an American.

We hope that in between the tasty meals, the music and the pyrotechnics, you can find a few quiet moments.  Below you will find a few quotations from famous champions of the USA, to help you, as you pause to think of the real meaning behind Independence Day.

President Harry S. Truman stated, “America was not built on fear.
America was built on courage,
on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand.

President Bill Clinton said, “There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured by what is right with America. 

At “Dentistry for Children,” we see the children of America represented every day.  Therefore, we know this comment to be true, because we believe the children we see are part of “what is right with America.”

President Ronald Reagan summed it up well with these words, especially appropriate for an Independence Day thought:

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.
We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream.  It must be fought for,
protected, and handed on for them to do the same,
or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s
children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

Please Drive Carefully!  AAA projects “44.2 million Americans will travel between Friday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 4…The 2017 forecast is up 2.9 percent compared to holiday travel last year.”

Have fun at your July 4th Celebration, but don’t let the “sugar bugs” attack!

Drive safely and “Arrive Alive,” is the slogan on Orlando roadways.  Our advice is to leave early due to record-breaking crowds on the road, wherever you go for your July 4th celebration and travel at the speed limit.  Likewise, we hope you avoid alcohol while driving, and stay focused behind the wheel.
